DESCRIPTION:
An enormous quantity of
cooking gas as well as heat in stoves and 'angeethi’ is wasted
during cooking due to improper heat-management. This heat-loss is
unavoidable, irrespective of the high thermal-efficiency of the stove.
Hence, heat shield around stoves, burners or angeethis enhances the
thermal efficiency by 20-25%. It prevents the heat-loss due to the
direct contact between the hot pot and relatively cold air. Once the air
between the heat shield and the container is heated, it acts like a
heat-jacket. Hence, there is maximum utilisation of cooking energy and
minimum wastage of gas and fuel.
