VOLANTA HANDPUMP |
The Volanta
handpump uses a special stainless steel piston
without rubber seals and strong bearings, so no
spare parts problems. Year after year reliable
pumping, that is what counts in the end for the
users!
The Volanta cylinder is maintenance free and can be easily taken out for inspection by lifting the stainless steel rods. The strong BOODE PVC pipes (the rising main) are glued together and always stay inside the borehole.
The typical Flywheel with a counterweight makes pumping a pleasure. The flywheel can also be operated with solar or mechanical power. In this way, the Volanta can also be used for irrigation or for contineous water supply.

is therefore the ideal (hand)pump for all
purposes!

JVI developed the Volanta 20 years ago on the request of the Dutch Government through a serious program of research with international experts. The objective was to make a simple but strong design, suitable for local production and that has a life-time horizon of at least 50 years, with limited, easy and cheap maintenance.
In many
African countries (i.e. Burkina Faso, Niger, Angola, Cameroon and
Mozambique) over 10.000 Volanta are in operation now. The design has been
improved over the years and the Volanta is considered by international
experts as probably the most reliable handpump available on the market, up
to over 100 m. deep
